He breathed in deeply, "I was a former hunter." he said easily. "My owner.. if we didn't win he'd yell and scream at my rider. I'd get hit and it was all bad. And even when we did win he'd yell." he said remembering it all. "A horse my size and strength was hard to come by there. Many others wanted to buy me. But he couldn't put a price on me." he said, " So i ran." he stopped.

Tulip watched him.

Shock flitted along the faces of the gathered. Everyone waited.

Finally, Rose spoke "You were a competitor? Were you wild before? Or were you born into that life?" she asked slowly, carefully

"I was wild." he said remembering his mother. "We ran free but when i was still young humans came and took many of us. My sister escaped."

"Is that all,?" Rose asked

He nodded that was basically it.

"How far away was this place?"

"Where I came from? Not to far a little past the mountains. My old home? Miles away." he said.

Rose nodded, she understood now.

Asim nodded looked out the window blankly.

"are we ready to vote?" ROse looked around at everyone

Tulip nodded.

All the horses gathered except Asim and Fayza.

Asim looked at Fayza.

She smiled and said, in a slighty crackly voice, "Your not a threat, i can see that. Besides, even if you were, i like a little drama." she winked at him. "I guess everyone knows my vote!" she called

Rose nodded and smiled, she had always liked Fayza

Asim smiled. "Thankyou." he said lowering his head.

Everyoone walked back to position "we have reached a decision." said Rose, "You have been permitted to stay with us if you would like to." she smiled

Asim smiled "Thankyou." she said bowing his head happily.


Tulip smiled with her sister.

Rose loved having new horses. "Tulip and.., Sameh can help you learn your way around. If you need for help go to Hamden." she said "this meeting is over." then she walked away

Tulip nodded.

Asim walked over to Tulip and smiled to her.

Tulip smiled and nodded to her sis. "It's not me you want to thank." she laughed.

Asim trotted over to Rose." Thanks." he smiled.

"If you were not meant to be here, trust me you wouldn't be." she smiled then said "welcome. don't feel like to much of a sranger."

Sameh was talking to Hamden, but joined Tulip when she saw Asim coming back.

Tulip smiled to Sameh.

Asim nodded he flashed a smiled and left her to be.

"so, what should we do first?" asked Sameh.

"Will I still stay in the Cell?" Asim asked.

"no, you are no longer a prisoner with us." she smiled warmly.
